Pre/Post Cruise Machu Picchu Land Tours
5-day Cusco & Machu Picchu
Day 01 - Sunday: Upon arrival in Cusco, you are met at the airport and transfer to a local hotel, or restaurant, for
a cup of coca tea to help acclimatize to the altitude. After a short rest we will depart to the village of Pisac, located
in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, for a visit to the colorful Indian market and a Mass in Quechua language. After an
included lunch tour the ruins at Ollantaytambo. Overnight at hotel POSADA DEL INCA (3*) in Yucay (or similar). (L)
Day 02 - Monday: After breakfast transfer from Yucay to train station in Ollantaytambo for the train ride to Machu
Picchu. Full day guided tour of the world famous Inca ruins of Machu Picchu. Includes lunch. Overnight at hotel
HATUCHAY TOWERS (3*, on property) (or similar) (B, L.)
Day 03 - Tuesday: Morning at leisure. Time to return to the ruins for a second visit. The additional entrance
fee is not included in the program (Approx. US $20). Afternoon transfer to train station for your return to
Cusco by train/car. Upon arrival transfer to hotel POSADA DEL INCA (3*) (or similar) for overnight. (B)
Day 04 - Wednesday: Breakfast at hotel. No activities are scheduled during the morning hours, giving
you time to explore the city of Cusco on your own. Afternoon city tour of Cusco including visits to the
Cathedral of Cusco, the Temple of the Sun and a visit to the nearby ruins at the Sacsayhuaman Fortress
and the Inca Bath at Tambomachay. Return to Cusco and POSADA DEL INCA (3*) (or similar) overnight. (B)
Day 05 - Thursday: After breakfast transfer to the airport for flight to Lima. (B)
