Celebration and Jubilee (main dining rooms)
Similar in appearance, both rooms stretch long and deep under a single story and tuck a multitude of large tables next to rows of bench-style booths. White tablecloths and fresh flowers add a gracious air. Menu choices range from vegetarian Moroccan ragout to filet mignon to grilled lobster, with certain selections by French master chef Georges Blanc at dinner. Traditional fixed seating.

Windows on the Sea
Aptly named, the oceanview 24/hour buffet serves a daily changing Taste of the Nations (the Indian tandoori chicken with mint chutney is not to be missed), and such standards as a roast meat counter, salad bar, and deli (which slaps together a mean pastrami on rye). At breakfast, an omelet chef customizes your eggs to perfection. The pizzeria is open 24 hours.

Lido Grill
Chicken, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and fries — along with accoutrements such as sautéed mushrooms and onions — keep kids of all ages happy at this outdoor buffet.

Bistro on the Boulevard
Espresso, milkshakes, and sweets satisfy cravings here, for a nominal fee.

Sushi Bar
Evening offerings of free sushi are found near the casino. Saki is available for a fee.

Room Service
Sandwiches, sweets, and drinks (no hot food) are delivered at all hours.

Nine bars and lounges keep libations flowing all day long, from the deep sofas in the dimly-lit Majestic to the sunny lido pool bar. Quiet is found in the spacious Pavillion [sic] Library, sing-alongs at Cleopatra’s piano. The curved marble stair in the atrium serves as a meeting focal point and favorite backdrop for formal-night photos.

Bars, lounges, and casinos:

  • Club 21 Casino
  • Cleopatra’s Bar: Piano lounge
  • Majestic Bar: Flatscreen TVs
  • Cat’s Lounge: Teens and adults, dancing
  • Electricity Dance Club: Disco
  • The Bistro/Internet
  • The Forum: Karaoke
  • 21st Century Bar: Smoker’s bar near casino

Swimming pools:

  • Main Pool: All-ages pool with waterslide on Lido deck
  • Children’s Pool: Wading pool for Camp Carnival
  • Soaking Pool: Round pool on Verandah deck

Banquette seating and easy chairs line the tiers of the Universe Lounge, with its colorful solar system theme. Energetic song-and-dance shows take place nightly, along with individual performers that range from ho-hum to very entertaining.

Shore excursions

Cozumel and Costa Maya, both in Mexico, are the two ports of call for Fantasy. The latest addition to such popular water sports as scuba and kayaking is motorized power snorkeling with a high-tech radio headset. One of the newest land options, Race Fantastique, vets teams of two or more on mystery-solving, quick-acting obstacle courses with prize awards. Dolphin encounters, horseback riding, and touring Mayan ruins are also popular. Sign up for excursions from home to avoid long lines at the tour desk.

Camp Carnival for younger kids features a large game room with easy access to the wading pool. Teens have their own CO2 club room next to the video arcade. A wide range of supervised activities is provided. Babysitting for ages 4 months to 11 years is available for a surcharge.

Activities are available for the following age groups:

  • Toddlers, Ages 2-5 (with parents, if necessary)
  • Juniors, Ages 6-8
  • Intermediates, Ages 9-11
  • Teens, Ages 12-14
