Platinum and Golden (main dining rooms)
The Japanese-temple-inspired Platinum and Golden dining rooms, both spanning two levels, are Glory’s traditional restaurants. Dinner is assigned seating at staggered dining times. There are plenty of tables for two for honeymooners and couples. Spa selections are available, and the menu lists calorie and fat content for each; a vegetarian selection is also noted. Breakfast and lunch are open seating.

Emerald Room Supper Club
Attentive service in an upscale atmosphere costs $25 PP. Specialties include South African lobster, huge porterhouse steaks and prime-aged beef. Reservations are advised as early as possible in the cruise.

Red Sail Restaurant
The casual Lido Deck eatery offers a daily buffet for all meals, as well as self-serve ice cream and frozen yogurt machines. Look for special stations for burgers and fries, Asian food (offerings change daily), and 24-hour pizza. The lunch-only seafood counter is found on the mezzanine level, which offers seating with good views.

Creams
Espresso drinks and pastries available for a fee, along the Promenade.

Sushi Bar
Free sushi is available here in the evenings, also along the Promenade.

Room service
Room service is available 24 hours a day. Hot and cold breakfasts are available in the morning; the usual sandwiches and salads are available around the clock.

ENTERTAINMENT AND PUBLIC AREAS

The small size of the Black-and-White Library is a clue that energetic pursuits are more popular. Glory has a lounge or bar for every kind of music and dancing. Offbeat, out-of-the-way spots — like the On the Green sports bar, the Ivory Club, and the African-themed Ebony Cabaret Lounge — offer chances to escape from crowds. The Colors Lobby, highlighted by a giant digital kaleidoscope which projects slow-moving images on huge screens over the bar, is best viewed from the glass elevators.

Bars, lounges, and casinos:

  • Camel Club Casino
  • Kaleidoscope Bar: Casino bar
  • White Heat Dance Club: Disco
  • Ivory Club: Cigar bar
  • Bar Blue: Jazz
  • Burgundy Bar: Wine bar
  • On the Green: Sports bar
  • Cinn-A-bar: Sing-along piano bar
  • Ebony Cabaret: Smaller theater
  • The Colors: Atrium lobby bar
  • Turquoise and Azure bars: Pool deck

Swimming pools:

  • Turquoise Pool: All-ages; center Lido deck
  • Azure Pool: Mainly adults; aft Lido deck; sliding roof
  • Cobalt Pool: Waterslide terminus; Panorama deck
  • Splash Pool: Children-only; Camp Carnival on Sun deck

Shows:

The multi-level main show lounge, Amber Palace, boasts design elements that include rococo moldings, gold leaf columns, candelabras, cornices, and paintings of famous Russian czars and czarinas. Vegas-style revues take place here, consisting of elaborate sets and costumes, and some of the most dazzling special effects at sea including a revolving stage, rising orchestra pit, and a multi-million-dollar sound and lighting system.

Shore Excursions:

All shore excursions may be pre-booked online. Onboard, avoid tour desk lines by booking through the in-cabin interactive TV. Sailings may have 75 or more shore excursions, each running from about $30 to more than $200. At most ports, passengers disembark directly to the pier; but at some places (like Belize), passengers must board tenders to go ashore. At tendering ports, those with tours usually disembark first.

All Glory sailings stop in Nassau, home of Carnival’s private island, Blackbeard’s Cay, which offers stingray feeding and a relaxing pristine beach where snorkelers can find “treasures” to trade in for specials at select shops. On Eastern Caribbean sailings, St. Thomas (USVI) now offers parasailing and BOSS personal underwater scooters; St. Maarten, island rides on Harley motorcycles. In the Western Caribbean, Cozumel and Belize offer world-class diving and fascinating Mayan ruins; and Costa Maya, Mexico is a tourism village recently built just for cruise ships, with bars, restaurants, shops and pools.

KID STUFF

Camp Carnival, the kids’ program, targets the 2- to 15-year-old set. The supervised activity program features a large 4,200-square-foot play area for kids including computer labs, arts and crafts centers, video game rooms, and an EduCruise science/geography program. The Ultraviolets center for teens (16 and over) contains a dance floor, video wall, lounge, soft drink bar and state-of-the-art video gaming.
