Itinerary

• Day 1- Depart USA Overnight flight to London.



• Day 2 - Arrive London Day at leisure to explore Britain's capital.

• Day 3 - London – Runnymede – Salisbury – Stonehenge – Bideford This morning we drive through Windsor Great Park, and maybe catch a glimpse of Windsor Castle en route to Runnymede where the Magna Carta was sealed. We continue to Salisbury to view its magnificent Cathedral, boasting the tallest church spire in Britain! From one astounding visit to the next as we stop at Salisbury Plain to visit the ancient and mysterious monoliths of Stonehenge. Finally a drive past Lorna Doone’s famous Exmoor marks our arrival in the West Country where we head to the ancient seaport of Bideford, built on two hills above the river Torridge. Tonight we will enjoy a Welcome Drink and Highlight restaurant dinner with our Tour Director and travelling companions. (Continental Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)

• Day 4 - Bideford – Clovelly – Tintagel – Plymouth (2 nights) Our first stop this morning will be the steeply cobbled village of Clovelly with its loveable donkeys and Dartmoor heather. Then via the pretty seaside resort of Boscastle and back into Devon, where we will enjoy a wonderful Devonshire Cream tea this afternoon. Finally we stop in Tintagel, for views of the ruined castle overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. From here we make our way to the historic naval port of Plymouth. Here we see the Mayflower steps from which the Pilgrim Fathers set sail to America and the Citadel overlooking Plymouth Sound. (Full Breakfast / Dinner)

• Day 5 - Cornish Excursion We drive along the rugged Cornish coastline past smugglers’ coves and quaint fishing villages to Land’s End the most westerly point of the British mainland. Then to St Ives, the famous artists’ colony, and later views of St Michael’s Mount near Penzance before a drive across Bodmin Moor. During the day our
  Tour Director will also show us a Hidden Treasure before we return to our hotel. (Full Breakfast)



• Day 6 - Plymouth – Bath – Bristol We travel through the rugged Datmoor National Park to Glastonbury where we visit the Abbey ruins and see the legendary tomb of King Arthur. Then we see the mineral beauty of Cheddar Gorge before continuing to the city of Bath where we visit the Roman Baths and see the magnificent Georgian architecture. We overnight in maritime Bristol where we enjoy a Farewell Dinner tonight. (Full Breakfast / Farewell Dinner)

• Day 7 - Bristol – Avebury – Hampton Court – London We leave the city of Isambard Kingdom Brunel and drive to see Britain’s largest and most ancient Stone Circle, Avebury. On our way back into London we will stop to see the gardens of Hampton Court Palace. Say goodbye to your Tour Director and newly made friends as you are taken to your Trafalgar London hotel. • Day 8 - London – USA We transfer to the airport for our return flight to America. (Buffet Breakfast)

Airport Transfers

• London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the Airport and central London. When you book your tour with Trafalgar your transfers to and from the airport are included. It's that simple. Trafalgar has included a Free transfer to and from your airport and Central London.
• Important – Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met:
• You are staying at a London hotel, booked by Trafalgar, on the night of your arrival and the night prior to the date of your departure.
• Flights are either booked by Trafalgar or detailed information on flights is provided by your Travel Agent not less than 21 days prior to departure.
• Only one included transfer both inbound and outbound per tour is included by Trafalgar. Transfers are by express train to a Central London Rail Station.
• Heathrow Airport: Inbound transfers operate between 06.00-21.30. Outbound transfers are timed to connect with scheduled flights departing between 08.00-23.00. Transfers will be by coach. Gatwick Airport: Inbound transfers operate between 06.00-12.30. Outbound transfers are timed to connect with scheduled flights departing between 08.00-23.00. Transfers will be by express train and coach. Transfers outside these times will be at the passengers own expense.
• In the event of unforeseen events (road or rail works, demonstrations, strikes) Trafalgar will not be held responsible for delayed or cancelled transfers.
• No refund is available for passengers not utilising this service.
• Why not upgrade to a Hotelink transfer from the Airport to-the-door of your Trafalgar London hotel? (please ask Trafalgar or your travel agent of the additional upgrade price per person when booking)
• European Gateways: With Trafalgar all passengers will receive complimentary arrival and departure transfers on the scheduled arrival and departure day of their tour at the times specified below. Please ensure your Travel Agent reserves your flight to co-ordinate with the transfer times shown.
