Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Depart USA Overnight transatlantic flight to Athens.


  • Day 2- Arrive Athens (2 nights) On arrival you are transferred to your hotel. Later enjoy an Athens sightseeing tour before you meet your Tour Planner for a Welcome Drink.

    Hotel: Dorian Inn (2 nights)


  • Day 3 Athens - Piraeus - Mykonos We transfer to Piraeus and sail to Mykonos. Enjoy a few hours at leisure on this cosmopolitan island before continuing our cruise. (Buffet Breakfast)


  • Day 4 - Rhodes An early arrival in Rhodes. Time for an excursion to Lindos or laze on the beach. (Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner)

  • Day 5 - Amsterdam – Rhine Cruise – Rhineland (Mannheim) Early morning visit to Patmos, why not visit the Monastery? Later we cruise to Turkish Kusadasi with time to visit Ephesus. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)



  • Day 6 - Arrive Piraeus - Delphi - Patras - At Sea Arriving back in Piraeus we are taken to Delphi to consult the Oracle who will predict the fantastic time we will have on the rest of our tour! Finally back to Patras where we board our ship for the overnight cruise to Ancona. (Breakfast )



  • Day 7 - Arrive Ancona - Venice (Marghera) (2 nights) We arrive at the ancient port of Ancona and then drive to Venice and back in time to the era of Canaletto as we cruise past St. Mark's Square, the Doges' Palace and the island of San Giorgio. Maybe later enjoy a gondola serenade before enjoying an Italian dinner in a canal-side restaurant.(Buffet Breakfast/ Highlight Dinner)

    Hotel: Alexander (2 nights)


  • Day 8 - Venice sightseeing & at leisure A private launch takes us to St. Mark's Square where we take a short stroll past the Basilica to one of the oldest glass-blowing workshops for a demonstration! Then you are free to explore. (Buffet Breakfast)


  • Day 9 - Venice (Marghera) - Vienna (2 nights) Through the rugged mountains of the Friuli and through the Austrian Lake District. Finally via the Semmering Pass to elegant Vienna. (Buffet Breakfast)

    Hotel: Eventhotel Pyramide (2 nights)


  • Day 10 -Vienna sightseeing & at leisure The architectural heritage of this fine city is evident on our included sightseeing tour. This evening, we enjoy Viennese music and food in a Heurige in the Vienna Woods. (Buffet Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)


  • Day 11 - Vienna - Salzburg - Munich This morning we drive along the Danube Valley past the monastery of Melk to Salzburg for an orientation tour. Then we continue to Germany and Bavarian Munich, where orientation points out the Hofbräuhaus and Glockenspiel. Then we enjoy a typical Bavarian dinner in a characteristic tavern! (Buffet Breakfast/ Highlight Dinner)

  • Day 12 - Munich - Neuschwanstein Castle - Lucerne (2) First to Neuschwanstein, where we visit mad King Ludwig's fairytale castle. Then to Liechtenstein and lakeside Lucerne. (Buffet Breakfast)

    Hotel: Luzernerhof (2 nights)


  • Day 13 - Lucerne orientation & at leisure Our orientation tour shows us the Lion Monument and Chapel Bridge. Then you are free to shop for souvenirs or take a cog-wheel train up an Alpine peak! Tonight, a dinner of Swiss specialities in a local restaurant is included. (Buffet Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)



  • Day 14 - Lucerne - Strasbourg - Rhineland (Ludwigshafen) Along the Rhine valley to Strasbourg. Then into Germany and to the River Neckar and Heidelberg. We view the ruined Castle, explore the streets of the Baroque town with its 'Student Inns' and enjoy dinner in a local tavern before heading to our Rhineland hotel. (Buffet Breakfast/ Highlight Dinner)

  • Day 15 - Rhineland (Ludwigshafen) - Rhine Cruise - Amsterdam (2 nights) First a Rhine cruise past the Lorelei Rock to Boppard. Then on to Cologne to view the Cathedral before crossing the Dutch border to Zaandam for two nights. (Buffet Breakfast)

  • Day 16 - Amsterdam orientation & Countryside Excursion Morning orientation shows us the main sights including Dam Square, the Tower of Tears and the Skinny Bridge. Then we drive to the fishing village of Volendam where there's time to try some smoked eel for lunch! Tonight, our final dinner – an Indonesian banquet on a floating restaurant! (Buffet Breakfast/ Highlight Dinner)



  • Day 17 - Amsterdam - London We drive past windmills to the Belgian border and into France. At Calais we embark on our ferry crossing across the Channel to the White Cliffs of Dover. Then a short drive brings us to London and the end of our tour together. (Buffet Breakfast)

  • Day 18 - London – USA Time for farewells or perhaps extend your stay with your new friends. (Buffet Breakfast)

    Airport Transfers
    • London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the Airport and central London. When you book your tour with Trafalgar your transfers to and from the airport are included. It's that simple. Trafalgar has included a Free transfer to and from your airport and Central London.
    • Important – Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met:
    • You are staying at a London hotel, booked by Trafalgar, on the night of your arrival and the night prior to the date of your departure.
    • Flights are either booked by Trafalgar or detailed information on flights is provided by your Travel Agent not less than 21 days prior to departure.
    • Only one included transfer both inbound and outbound per tour is included by Trafalgar. Transfers are by express train to a Central London Rail Station.
    • Heathrow Airport: Inbound transfers operate between 06.00-21.30. Outbound transfers are timed to connect with scheduled flights departing between 08.00-23.00. Transfers will be by coach. Gatwick Airport: Inbound transfers operate between 06.00-12.30. Outbound transfers are timed to connect with scheduled flights departing between 08.00-23.00. Transfers will be by express train and coach. Transfers outside these times will be at the passengers own expense.
    • In the event of unforeseen events (road or rail works, demonstrations, strikes) Trafalgar will not be held responsible for delayed or cancelled transfers.
    • No refund is available for passengers not utilising this service.
